To maintain a respectful and positive environment, we have established these content guidelines and standards that apply to reviews, images, and service listings submitted by our clients and service providers. Our aim is to ensure that the content on our platform is informative, safe, and beneficial for everyone.
Content Standards
Our guidelines and content standards below are designed to keep the content on Spotless Home relevant and suitable for a global audience while allowing for the expression of diverse opinions. These standards apply irrespective of whether the content conveys a positive or negative sentiment.
1. Relevance and Cleaning Focus: Contributions should be related to cleaning experiences. The most valuable contributions are detailed and assist others in making informed decisions. Please avoid including personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Any issues concerning Spotless Home’s services should be directed to our Customer Service. Promotional content will be removed.
2. Appropriateness: All content should be appropriate for a global audience. Comments or media containing hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit content, violence, or promotion of illegal activities will not be permitted.
3. Genuineness and Uniqueness: Contributions should be genuine and unique to the customer or service provider. Reviews hold the most value when they are original and unbiased. Service provider partners associated with Spotless Home must not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives for reviews. We do not tolerate attempts to manipulate ratings by submitting negative reviews about competitors.
4. Privacy: Please respect the privacy of others. Refrain from including personal data such as first and last names, telephone numbers, email addresses, and any other personal information about individuals in your posts.
5. Intellectual Property: Ensure that you either own or have the right to use any intellectual property rights, particularly images, included in the content you post.
Client Reviews Standards
Each review score ranges from 1 to 10. The overall score displayed on Spotless Home is determined by adding up all the review scores received and dividing that total by the number of received review scores. Additionally, guests can provide separate ‘subscores’ for specific aspects of their travel experience.
You are eligible to submit a review for a cleaning service booked through Spotless Home if you received cleaning service as a result of a booking through Spotless Home. If you need to edit a review you’ve already submitted, please use the contact page to contact our team.
Spotless Home employs both people and automated systems dedicated to identifying and addressing fake reviews. Any fake reviews discovered are promptly removed, and appropriate actions are taken against the responsible parties. We encourage users to report problematic content to our team, and our team will conduct an investigation.
Content Not Published
We do not publish reviews that violate our guidelines, including but not limited to:
– Dangerous and disrespectful content
– Hate speech, discrimination, and harassment
– Violent, offensive, and restricted content
– Content related to animal cruelty
– Sexual content
– Violations of intellectual property, privacy, and confidential data
– Spam, misleading content, and deceptive practices
– Commercial content
– Reviews for reservations that were not stayed
– To ensure that reviews remain relevant, we may only accept those submitted within three months of check-out, and we may cease displaying reviews that are 36 months old or when the cleaning service provider undergoes a change of ownership. Service providers may choose to respond to reviews.
Review Sorting and Filtering
When multiple reviews are available, the most recent ones will be displayed at the top. You have the option to sort and filter reviews by date, review score, and other criteria to suit your preferences.
Translations
Please be aware that reviews may contain translations powered by Google, not Spotless Home. Google disclaims all warranties related to translations, express or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Spotless Home Content Guidelines

Our objective is to ensure that the content on our platform is informative, secure, and beneficial to everyone.
Content Guidelines
Our content guidelines focus on promoting respectful and informative content while upholding a global perspective. These guidelines apply regardless of whether the content expresses positive or negative sentiments.
Dangerous and Disrespectful Content
Hate, Discrimination, and Harassment: Hate speech and discriminatory language are strictly prohibited on Spotless Home. We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all users. Content promoting violence, discriminatory language, or hatred based on personal characteristics such as age, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, nationality, race, immigration status, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, caste, political opinion, and serious diseases is not allowed. Additionally, any content that harasses, bullies, threatens, or incites others to engage in such behavior will not be tolerated.
Violent, Offensive, and Restricted Content: Spotless Home does not permit violent, offensive, or legally restricted content based on local laws. Specifically, we do not allow:
– Content that promotes or encourages violence against others, including threats, recommendations of violence, or declarations of intent to commit violence.
– Obscene or offensive content that is not suitable for all audiences.
– Content related to regulated or restricted goods and services, including their promotion, sale, or facilitation.
– Terrorism-related content, including any promotion, support, or incitement of terrorism, terrorist organizations, their leaders, or associated violent activities. Additionally, content that, in our sole discretion and in alignment with the Consolidated United Nations Security Council Sanctions List, promotes, supports, or incites violent extremism or supports organizations engaged in violent extremism is not allowed.
Animal Welfare: Spotless Home is committed to animal welfare. We expect clients, partners, and employees to respect both domestic animals and wildlife and to promote living conditions for animals. We do not permit:
– Content that displays or promotes direct contact with wild animals.
– Content that displays or promotes animals in captivity under poor welfare conditions.
– Content related to activities, entertainment, or sports events known to cause distress and harm to animals.
Content of a Sexual Nature: We do not allow content that contains sexually explicit material, nudity, or pornographic acts. This prohibition includes all content, including text, digital images, and animations, that supports, promotes, or depicts child sexual exploitation or sexualized content involving suspected minors, also known as Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Image and Editorial Guidelines
Photos and images are valuable resources on Spotless Home and should provide useful, informative, and travel-related content.
Images: Images should be directly related to the actual cleaning service experience. We do not allow images that do not relate to the cleaning service experience or violate any of the policies, standards, or guidelines outlined here.
Editorial Content: Written content should be legible, understandable, coherent, and related to the cleaning service experience. We do not permit content that is unclear, incoherent, or grammatically incorrect.
Intellectual Property, Privacy, and Confidential Data
Intellectual Property: Spotless Home respects intellectual property rights and expects its clients and cleaning service providers to do the same. Our policy includes:
– Reviewing cases of reported intellectual property infringement and taking action to remove infringing or suspected infringing content.
– Disabling accounts or restricting access for users who repeatedly infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. If you wish to report copyright infringement, please use our copyright infringement reporting form.
Personal and Confidential Data: We prioritize privacy and data protection in line with our applicable Privacy Statement. We do not allow content that may jeopardize the privacy of our guests and other data subjects. This includes sharing personal data about individuals, sensitive or special-category personal data, credit card numbers, national identification numbers, driver’s and other license numbers, addresses, or any other non-publicly accessible information.
Spam, Misleading Content, and Deceptive Practices
Spotless Home aims to protect our clients and service providers from reviews that are not based on real customer experiences or content unrelated to the topic or travel experience.
We do not allow:
– Content that is not relevant to Spotless Home, cleaning services, or the actual cleaning experience.
– Content that is likely to mislead, deceive, or confuse Spotless Home users.
– Impersonation or misrepresentation of oneself as another person.
Commercial Content
At Spotless Home, we believe that contributions are most helpful when they are honest, unbiased, and contain objective information. In particular, reviews on Spotless Home should reflect genuine customer experiences.
We do not allow:
– Content created solely for self-promotion, advertising, or other commercial purposes.
– Commercial content that promotes or advertises specific cleaning services.
– Content that includes contact details or information designed to promote or advertise specific cleaning services.
– Service providers to review their own listings, businesses, or cleaning services.
Non-Completed Bookings
We value the opinions of our contributors. Therefore, only customers who have booked cleaning services through Spotless Home can write reviews. However, if a booking is canceled before the fulfillment day, the client will not receive a review questionnaire.
Under these circumstances, we do allow:
– Reviews that contain critical information relevant to future clients.
– Reviews that provide feedback about communication between the cleaning service provider and the client.
– Reviews that are pertinent to the cleaning service experience.
